Meet Caerwyn

Caerwyn Ashveil was once considered the finest archivist in Valtheryn — methodical, precise, and unshakably devoted to the Athenaeum's charter. Then, on the night of the Winter Convergence in year 847, she walked into the restricted stacks and did not return.

Seventeen years passed. Her mentor Mireth Dawnweave refused to give up the search long after the Archive's council declared her dead. Then, without explanation, Caerwyn reappeared at the Athenaeum's doors on the morning of the 864th Convergence — silver-eyed, carrying a compass no one recognized, and speaking of the Order of the Sealed Flame as though she had stood in the room when it was founded.
